| My beautiful Pearl left me while I was away from home. We were joined at the hip and I seldom went anywhere without Pearl but she hadn’t been feeling well and I thought another trip might be too hard for her to make. My heart is broken in two. She was my constant companion and best friend. The news reached me seconds after she passed away while I was away in Ontario. I had just talked to her on the phone the day before and she was so happy to hear my voice. Leah told me that she just wiggled all over and wagged her tail at this unexpected pleasure. It was to be the last time we spoke to each other. Just two months short of her eleventh birthday, she died peacefully in her sleep. Pearl had six litters and six champions. She was the inspiration and the beginning of Perlin/Rutanda Pugs. Her champion get are: Ch. Rutanda’s A Minnie Pearl Ch. Rutanda’s Da Hummer T’Gamaheu Ch. Perlin’s She’s My Karma Ch. Perlin’s Katie Did It Ch. Perlin’s Pogo Bounce Ch. Perlin’s Quigley Down Under She was grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother to many more. |
Pearl took a great interest in all the new babies. She loved to see them, clean
them and was always patient. She had a spark in her eye and was the happiest
of girls all of her life and she passed on that happy disposition to her babies.
She had such a zest for life and won many hearts wherever she went. She
was incredibly intelligent and understood every word I spoke. We had an
uncommon kind of bond. Even though I wanted her to live to be 40, she
danced to her own drummer and had her own agenda.
To the end Pearl kept her dignity and I know that she is waiting for me over
the Rainbow Bridge where she is carrying on her duties of babysitting all
young puppies and barking at butterflies and planes…..I miss you my beautiful
girl. I am so honored to have known you. You taught me much . . .
